The Open Innovation Center exists to:

• Develop Norwegian competence in Open Innovation and on the Electronic Frontier.
• Develop Telemark as a leader in Open Innovation (ability to continue growth in ICT based employment and public and private ability to innovate.
• Create a large value network/eco system around the center
• Work with the other national competence centers to create a complete offering
• Use the Norwegian progressive political position and industry/community alignment to engage the international community
